simple pleasures

This series was created for a solo exhibition titled score-cut-crease-fold at Brenda May Gallery in Sydney in 2009. The exhibition was a reflection on our innate urge to preserve childhood memories. These pieces played with the idea of reinventing the magic lantern slideshow popular in the nineteenth century. By turning the crank, and peering through a lens the viewer was able to pan across the image in each lantern from left to right.
