After completing a masters degree in visual arts at Sydney College of the Arts, Daniela established a studio in Sydney’s Camperdown, where she developed her practice as a sculptor working initially in cast glass but eventually extending across a range of media including clay, paper, textiles and wood. Her work has featured in numerous Australian and international group and solo exhibitions and publications, and she has been the recipient of several grants and prizes including a New Work grant by the Australian Council for the Arts.
Following a shift in direction a few years ago, Daniela decided to refocus her practice towards two dimensional media including drawing, animation and digital composition. Since then she has been thrilled to have some of her drawn animation work exhibited at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. She is gradually developing her practice in this direction, although she occasionally continues to dabble in the making of fun objects.
